|1. Why do I need to complete a Checkout Choices?|
The Checkout Choices category/item provides a way for you to send us specific information through our shopping cart:
1. You can tell the shopping cart to add optional or required insurance so that you know the shopping cart total will be accurate.
2. You can tell us how you want out-of-stock items to be handled.
3. You can order a gift certificate.
4. You can indicate a message you would like included in a gift card or other information you want us to know about your order.
5. You can indicate that the current "order" is really just to send your credit card information securely through our shopping cart to
pay for a prior order.
You only need to complete one Checkout Choices with a quantity of 1.
On orders received without a Checkout Choices completed, we will assume that you do not want optional insurance but we will add required insurance.
We will assume that substitutions of colors/sizes are ok and let you know what is in stock. We will assume that you want out-of-stock items canceled.
|2. Is your website secure?|
Our host server has always been secure but we now have our own SSL certificate. It is issued by RapidSSL, a subsidiary of GeoTrust. Some of our pages still show up under http://www.satinroseintimates.com, including the first page of the shopping cart. The shopping cart pages where you enter your personal information are handled under https://www.satinroseintimates.com and are encrypted. If the lock icon does not show up, just add the s to the http:// to get to the encrypted page. We are still tweaking some code in connection with this change. If you run into problems on the website, please let us know.
|3. How can I change items, payment or shipping methods or other details of my order after I submit it?|
Just send an email to Susan at firstname.lastname@example.org with the details about what you want to change. Be sure to mention your order number. You do not need to place another order!
|4. How do I return to the shopping page after viewing an enlarged image?|
Clicking on "Enlarge Picture" will open a new window or tab in which all enlarged images will be displayed.
You can scroll through these images. When you wish to return to shopping, simply select your original browser window or tab.
|5. Why did I not receive a confirmation email from your shopping cart and/or Susan after I placed my order?|
1. You entered your email address incorrectly in the address form of our shopping cart.
2. Your email filters put our email in your junk mail folder.
If you think you made a typo in your email address, just an email to Susan at email@example.com
indicating that and providing the correct email address. Be sure to
mention your order number if you know it. You do NOT need to
place another order!
Before you send us an email, please add us to your address book/pals
list/approved sites, whatever it takes to have our emails go to your
inbox, not the junk mail folder.
|6. Why do some style numbers on the garments I received not match the style numbers on your website?|
Some manufacturers change style numbers based on price differences due to sizes, some on color, some on length of a garment, some on our special order requests, some on all of these variables. For your shopping convenience, we have tried to simplify the style numbers on our website while still retaining relationships to the manufacturers' variety of numbers. If you think you received an item in error, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will discuss it.
|7. Can I order items not shown on the website?|
Certainly! We have not listed on our website all the items available to us. In particular, more items are available from Bali, Barely There, Champion, Cuddl Duds, Hanes Underwear, Hanes Body Enhancers, Just My Size, Playtex, Wonderbra, Outer Banks and Shadowline. We can also order the Duofold lines: Duo-Dri, Snowbound, Varitherm, Sportsman and Originals. If you want us to check on the availability of a particular item, just email email@example.com with a style number and/or description.
|8. Since I am ordering a gift, can I have the receipt emailed to me and a gift card included in the package?|
We would be glad to do that for you. Our gift card has our Satin Rose logo on the front. See a sample of the inside of our gift card. Put your special message in the gift card message box in Checkout Choices in the SRI Collections List and add one Checkout Choices to the shopping cart. Add your gift items to the shopping cart and check out.
|9. Do you offer gift certificates?|
We do offer gift certificates. Click on Checkout Choices in the SRI Collections List. Add the specified amount of your gift to the shopping cart and then check out. Be sure to indicate the recipient's information in the shipping address section of the cart. Double check her/his email address for typos! S/he will receive an email about your gift once we process your payment. Discounts do not apply to your payment for a gift certificate. The money amounts have been tweaked to offset the automatic discounts in the cart. Her/his order may qualify for our discounts.
|10. How do you determine shipping fees?|
We have always tried to have shipping fees just cover shipping costs. The current fees based on the weight of each package and USPS zones or countries are as accurate and fair as we can make them. Be sure to complete one Checkout Choices to add insurance to help get your shopping cart total as accurate as possible. We will continue to keep item prices as low as possible and combine shipping to save you money.
|11. What methods of payment do you accept?|
We accept PayPal, US cash, checks and money orders drawn on US banks and international postal money orders. Also, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit/debit cards. We use PayPal's Virtual Terminal to process your credit/debit card payments. The confirmation email that we charged your credit/debit card will come from PayPal but the charge will show up on your credit card bill, not your PayPal account if you have one. We are not a Bill Me Later® merchant.
|12. How soon will my order be mailed?|
If your items are in stock, your package will be mailed within three business days of receiving your payment. If we have to order the item(s) you want from the manufacturer(s), there will be a delay of several weeks. We will keep in touch with you about the status of your order and our best estimate of timeframes. The cart computes your total on the default of everything being mailed in the same package. If some items are back ordered, you can have the in-stock items sent immediately and the back-ordered items sent when received for a second shipping fee.
You will receive an email from stamps.com with a usps.com tracking number when we mail your package.
|13. How do I get added to/removed from your mailing list for your paper catalog and/or special email announcements?|

We now allow returns within 30 days of receipt of your order. See our Returns Policy screen for requirements and other information.
|15. What is your phone number?|
We do not have a toll-free 800 phone number. We accept inquiries via email and orders through our shopping cart or via email. (Our order discount is only applicable to orders placed through our website.)
|16. What about privacy and emails?|
|17. What happened to the Lady Camille, Nancy King and Sans Souci styles?|
These manufacturers have gone out of business. We are looking for manufacturers to replace these. Drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org if you want us to try to add your favorite manufacturer.
|18. What happened to the Shadowline styles?|
Shadowline has been purchased by Alan Rifkin, the owner of Velrose Lingerie! He is maintaining Shadowline's high standards of quality. We are adding items as they become available. Check Shadowline Lingerie for the current items.
|19. What happened to the forum?|
For the moment, we are letting social media replace our forum. We have a
account. Follow us!
. And a facebook account . . . Satin Rose Intimates. We post when we receive orders from manufacturers, announcements of sales, notes about problem email addresses for specific customer orders and other comments.
|20. With all these choices, what does Susan wear?|
Since so many of you have asked . . . , I try new items once in a while but I always return to Shadowline. We really do think they are the best! And are so glad they are back! But I am also enjoying my new Vanity Fair!
